"I worked on this painting listening to "Baddest Blues" by Betty Hart...I was trying to mimic the song in bold gestures to reinforce the trance-like rhythm.  I love working in a limited palette of blues and white reminiscne of where we live under the snow for months.  Winter is my favorite season."
